Large Animal Emergency

After hours (5pm-8am), holiday, and weekend emergency care is restricted to our established patients who are examined annually. This includes equine, cattle, sheep, goats, camelids, and pigs. Call the office at 828-738-3883 and listen closely for instructions to page the veterinarian on call. Emergency fees apply. If you need an estimate, please ask the veterinarian who returns your call.

There is one veterinarian available outside of business hours. We prefer that patients are trailered to our office for access to all diagnostics and well-lit facilities and decrease slower response times due to the veterinarian’s need to travel. We understand that this is not always possible. We require all individual sheep, goats, and companion pigs to be brought to the clinic for urgent care.

Small Animal Emergency (Dogs & Cats)

We do not provide after hours, weekend, or holiday care or euthanasia for small animals. Below are local emergency clinics that are staffed and available should the need arise.
